Every night, while the world slept, a small blue monster named Barnaby hid beneath a child's bed. He squeezed himself into the darkest corner, waiting in silence.

People always thought monsters under the bed wanted to scare children. But the truth was quite different—Barnaby was absolutely terrified of humans.

Whenever footsteps approached the bedroom, Barnaby would cover his ears, squeeze his eyes shut, and wish with all his heart that the night would pass quickly.

One evening, the little boy named Leo dropped his toy and peered under his bed. There, instead of a scary beast, he found the frightened creature trembling.

Instead of screaming, Leo smiled a warm, gentle smile. He looked closely at the trembling monster and asked softly, 'Are you scared too?'

Barnaby slowly crawled out from his hiding spot. Soon, the boy and the little monster were sitting side-by-side on the soft rug, talking about everything that made them feel small and afraid.

They talked about shadows that looked like giants, and creaky floorboards that sounded like footsteps. Sharing their fears made those scary things seem much smaller.
