In the Star Forest, there lived a group of fireflies. Among them was a little firefly named Glow. His lantern was larger than the other fireflies' lanterns, but Glow didn't think this was anything special. Whenever night fell, the fireflies would fly around with their small lanterns, like stars falling from the sky.

Glow liked to rest on a leaf, watching the other animals show their skills. He saw eagles soaring, rabbits hopping, and squirrels finding nuts. He saw his firefly companions using their yellow lanterns to light up flowers. Glow often sighed, 'They all have great skills, but I only know how to glow.'

One evening, Glow flew alone to the edge of the forest, staring at the stars. He thought, 'Eagles can fly, rabbits can hop, squirrels can find food... but what about me? My light seems to have no purpose, it just shines uselessly.' The more he thought, the more disappointed he felt.

Just then, an old turtle who had lived for 100 years slowly crawled over. 'Child, every creature has their own purpose,' he said gently. 'There is a wishing mirror on Star Mountain. Perhaps it can help you find the answer.' He handed Glow a beautiful map showing the path.

Glow packed his small backpack with sweet flower nectar and said goodbye to his family. Carrying his bright lantern, he began the journey toward Star Mountain. The path wound and curved, but the thought of finding an answer filled him with courage.

Glow suddenly heard a crying sound. He saw a little ant who had lost its way in the darkness. Glow said, 'Don't cry, I'll help you!' He used his bright white lantern to light the way. The little ant followed the reflection on the dewdrops to find its home.

The little ant arrived home and waved to Glow. 'Thank you! Your lantern is so bright. If not for your light, I might never have found my way home.' Glow was surprised—so his light really could help others?

Glow continued flying and arrived at the Foggy Valley. The fog was thick and white, making it impossible to see. Glow wondered if the other animals' skills could help here. He gathered his courage and flew into the thick, white mist.

From within the fog came cries for help—a butterfly family was lost! Glow used his bright white lantern to guide them. They followed him out of the valley. 'Glow, your lantern can shine through the thickest fog, something even eagles' eyes cannot do!' they said.

Higher up, Glow found a mother bird crying. Her nest had been blown down, and she couldn't see to find her babies in the dark. Glow used his lantern to shine light on the nest, and the mother bird joyfully found her babies.

Finally, Glow reached the top of Star Mountain. He saw a large, shining mirror—the legendary wishing mirror! Glow excitedly flew forward and looked at his reflection. The mirror spoke with a deep, kind voice, 'Glow, what is your wish?'

Glow asked why he felt useless when others had such great skills. The mirror smiled and said, 'Glow, you already know the answer. Eagles can't see in fog, and rabbits can't jump in deep darkness. But your light can shine through both. Every animal has a unique purpose.'

Glow recalled his journey—helping the ant, the butterflies, and the mother bird. Every time, it was his light that made the difference. He finally understood: his light was not useless—it was unique and special! He didn't need to be an eagle or a rabbit.

Glow returned to the Star Forest with a warm heart. The fireflies gathered around, 'Glow, your lantern seems even brighter now!' Glow smiled and said, 'I'm back. From now on, I will light up every dark corner of the forest for anyone who needs me.'

That evening, the stars descended to talk to him. 'Your light is as bright as ours,' they said. Glow finally understood: every living thing has unique value, and there is no need to compare yourself with others. He was the messenger of light.
